The Future 40

When the NFL Draft is near, it is important to take a look at some of the collegiate players who are preparing to step into the professional world of football. In a 2-month segment called The Future 40, we provide you with a constant string of in-depth scouting reports of some 2010 Draft prospects, giving you information key to understanding some players’ strengths, weaknesses, projected round of selection, possibility of being picked by the Eagles, and much more! Why is the number 40 referenced in this series title? That answer can be found in the simple fact that these prospect reports are delivered every other day until a few days prior to the actual Draft, equaling a total of 40 covered players.

Because the Draft is a league-wide event, and a very important one, some top-ranked players the Eagles are not expected to get are still evaluated in the series for enjoyment and a look around the entire rookie class of 2010. Of course, a majority of the prospects covered pertain in some way, shape, or form to the Birds and their needs, but it’s also necessary to include ones that you wouldn’t think the Eagles will pursue, so knowledge of other prospects is revealed as well.
